Moms Helping Moms Breastfeed Program Toolkit

At our next meeting we have a Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) student from Grand Valley State University (GVSU) coming to present her quality improvement project. Regina Kirwin has been working alongside the key stakeholders from the Moms Helping Moms Breastfeed Program (MHMBP) for just over a year. This program consisted of African American mothers providing breastfeeding support to other African American mothers. The purpose of her quality improvement project was to develop an evidence- based toolkit guided by the secondary data analysis from the previously implemented MHMBP. The toolkit includes resources for program evaluation and quality improvement, suggestions for data management, as well as evidence -based resources for common topics discussed with breastfeeding. The toolkit has been created and placed on the coalition website for viewing and now she needs to gather content feedback. After the presentation Regina will lead a focus group with the following survey questions to be filled out be each viewer. If you would like to view the questions beforehand, they have also been placed on the website. Thank you for your time and consideration.
