Flattering Makeup Tips for Deep-Set Eyes

Eyeshadow Placement:

Use brighter colors on the inner corners and darker colors on the outer margins. This technique improves vision. Dark eyelid tints should be avoided because they make the eyes appear deeper.

Highlighting:

On your eyelids, apply a glittery or light-colored cosmetics. This technique unlocks up closed eyes.

Eyeliner Placement:

Apply a thin line of eyeliner down the top lash line, thickening towards the outer corners.

Line the entire waterline to avoid making the eyes appear smaller. Instead, use liner to define the outer third of the bottom lash line.

Mascara Application:

Curl your lashes and apply mascara to both top and bottom lashes. This both opens and highlights the eyes. Clumpy mascara can weigh down the lashes and make the eyes appear larger.

Brow Definition:

Eyebrows that frame your eyes create balance. Make a natural arch with a brow pencil or powder. Avoid heavy brows that may overpower deep-set eyes.

Concealer Technique:

Use a brightening concealer or color corrector to decrease heaviness and shadows beneath your eyes.

Combine it with your ring finger. Excess product may settle into fine wrinkles and emphasize hollows under the eyes.

False Lashes (optional):

On your outside corners, use half or individual artificial lashes. This raises and elongates the eyes, giving them a more open and less deep-set appearance.
