Subway Offers Free Subs

Subway is looking to reward its biggest fan with free subs for life if they legally change their first name to Subway

From August 1 to 3, fans interested in this seemingly insane deal can visit SubwayNameChange.com and enter to win the contest on the condition that they will alter their name before receiving their free sandwiches.

The sandwich chain will pay for legal fees and other name change charges in addition to a lifetime of free subs.

One fan got a foot-long tattoo of the Subway Series logo in exchange for free subs for life, demonstrating the brand's loyal fanbase.

When the contest begins, it will be interesting to see how many individuals are prepared to change their name in exchange for free Subway.

This new promotion follows a larger rebranding push for Subway. Subway debuted Deli Heroes earlier this summer to highlight its switch to fresh-sliced meats.

The fast-food sandwich chain's sales had dropped due to the popularity of smaller competitors like Jersey Mike's, Jimmy John's, and Firehouse Subs.

The Deli Heroes quartet, which has turkey, roast beef, salami, and ham cut daily in stores instead of pre-sliced and delivered from a factory, is Subway's latest fresh innovation.
