On July 21, Trader Joe's shocked its faithful customers. The prominent grocery company published a recall notice on its website earlier today to warn shoppers that two cookie selections could contain foreign material.
The supplier informed the company that Trader Joe's Almond Windmill Cookies, and Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies were affected by the notice.
All potentially compromised products have been removed and destroyed. Discard or return potentially affected products to any Trader Joe's for a full refund.
How rocks got into the batches or how the supplier was notified is unknown. The tainted treats' health impacts are not discussed.
Due to Coca-Cola Ultimate being mislabeled as Coca-Cola Ultimate Zero Sugar, more than 200 cases of Coca-Cola have been recalled this month. Customers who are diabetic or otherwise seeking to eliminate sugar out of their diet may have been impacted by this error.
In addition, over 11,000 pounds of lettuce were recalled after it was found that deer excrement may have been present, placing consumers at risk of acquiring dangerous germs like Salmonella, Giardia, and E. coli.
